Forage sorghum is the bulk silage crop in the Graze Tech Fodder Solutions range. Drought-tolerant, sweet-stemmed, and capable of around 40 tons per hectare when the rains are used well. The point is not a pretty field. The point is a pit or bale stack that carries the herd through the next dry year.
Plant sorghum when you are building two-year feed reserves. Keep Katambora for perennial hay and grazing. Graze Tech will not let a farmer put the whole farm in annual sorghum and call it feed security.
